Individual Reading & Writing

Pick your favorite genre; short story, novel, poetry, nonfiction, children’s literature or graphic literature and read and write about what you read daily in your journal.
Students will be given the opportunity to discuss what they are reading with the teacher and other students often.
Students will complete a final paper or project. This may involved writing their own stories, poetry and essays and doing some illustrating of works read or written.
There will be extra credit available to those who wish to do additional work. (I once had a student write a complete science fiction novella!)
